Common queries and key information.
Do you offer trial lessons?
No. Instead, students begin by completing the enrolment form and enrolment contract, which helps me tailor the first lesson to students' needs and goals.
You’re welcome to book a single lesson to see if it’s the right fit, and then complete the contract afterwards, but all lessons must be paid in advance.
What are your rates?
Tuition is currently $95 per lesson and is all-inclusive. There are no additional fees or charges unless you require additional support or supplementary materials.
Do you offer discounts?
Rates are already set as low as possible to reflect the value and preparation involved in each lesson. The cost includes not just the lesson itself, but also:
Personalised weekly lesson planning
Personalised Google Classroom page
Detailed lesson summaries
1x weekly marking or feedback on submitted work
Homework tasks
Access to additional resources and materials tailored to your learning goals
In special cases, such as for siblings or students with multiple weekly lessons, a reduced rate may be available. These are considered on a case-by-case basis. If you’d like to enquire, please contact me.
How do I book or rebook lessons?
To book a lesson, please enrol. Once enrolled, you will be contacted with available times for a regular lesson.
If you need to reschedule your lessons or want to request an extra lesson, use the booking page.
What are your policies?
Students are expected to follow GG Tuition policies regarding enrolment, scheduling and conduct. These help ensure a fair, productive and consistent experience for all students.
Read the full enrolment policy and contract terms here: Enrolment Policy and Enrolment Contract.
Do you offer payment plans or flexible billing options?
Yes. Whilst all students commit to a 10-week term, payments can be made in instalments (fortnightly, monthly or upfront) depending on your preference. Invoices are issued each billing period, and automatic reminders are sent to help you stay on track.
What is your cancellation and rescheduling policy?
Lessons can’t be cancelled or rescheduled within 24 hours of the lesson time unless exceptional circumstances apply. If you miss this window, the lesson will be charged in full, and any additional rebookings will be considered a new lesson. This policy ensures fairness for all students and protects time availability, as all lessons are prepared and personalised in advance.
Students are responsible for rescheduling their lessons.
What is your tuition pedagogy?
The GG Tuition Learning Handbook is provided to all students and parents to guide how we learn together. It explains my evidence-based, student-centred tuition pedagogy, helping students understand how and why they learn, covering:
Practical strategies to overcome common learning challenges.
Reflective questions to build confidence, independence, and strong study habits.
Guidance on using feedback to develop insight, resilience, and long-term skills.
The handbook supports sustainable academic growth with clear expectations, high but achievable standards, and tools for meaningful progress.
How can I provide feedback on the lessons?
You can provide feedback at any time by completing the Lesson Feedback Form. This is also emailed to you at the end of each lesson. Please don't hesistate to contact me with any specific comments or concerns.
How do you track students' progress?
I provide regular, syllabus-aligned feedback tailored to each student’s goals. I create a detailed Learning Plan for each student every semester, where I track progress, observations and achievements. You will also receive a comprehensive Progress Report at the end of each semester.
Can I request a progress update?
To request a formal update on student progress, please complete the Progress Request Form. You can request either a short phone call or written summary outlining recent focus areas, strengths, areas for improvement, and suggested next steps. Please allow up to 7 days for the progress update to be completed.
How long is each lesson?
Standard lessons run for 1 hour. However, I also offer 2-hour lessons for students who benefit from extended time, particularly in senior years or exam prep periods.
How are lessons delivered?
I offer one-to-one online and in-person tuition. Most students choose online for convenience and flexibility. I do not conduct home visits or group tuition.
In-person tuition is currently at capacity, however, some online times are still available.
Do you mark or give feedback on work outside of lessons?
Yes. Students are encouraged to submit ONE practice response or homework for marking each week. I offer detailed written feedback and can review drafts between lessons. Any additional marking can be requested using the Marking & Feedback Request Form and costs $50.
Do you provide resources or homework?
Yes. I design tailored learning guides, worksheets, practice exams, exemplars, and revision materials for students and access to these resources is ongoing once enrolled.
Homework is optional but recommended to reinforce learning between lessons. I also provide lesson summaries and revision tasks to support independent study. Please note that by using these resources, you agree to the Terms of Use outlined in the Enrolment Policy.
You can submit ONE free task per week as part of the regular lesson cost using the Marking & Feedback Request Form.
